• Once you have created your portfolio page or collection you can share it with others, for example your lecturer, friends or other BU Mahara users.

• It is also possible to share your portfolio with external people who do not have a Mahara account, for example with prospective employers. Access to non Mahara users is done via a secret URL.

• By creating a secret URL you can give users, who do not have an account on Mahara, access to your portfolio page or collection

• This can be useful when you create a portfolio for a job application or work placement

• This will not make your work publicly available or searchable by search engines

• Date and time restrictions can be applied or the secret URL can be removed when no longer required.
